This image was sent to me by someone I met who was training to be in the work force during the pandemic. It was a very lonely time and people were doing their best to connect online. I was longing to see something different from my view, they had entered their break period and South Korea was not as restrictive as the UK was and they had visited Danyang. They sent me this picture from Okdap. I am a little unsure if the mountain is called Okdap, but nevertheless the sunset is so beautiful.

It had been a while since I painted the sky, it was interesting while painting to see how linear the sky was. The round warm shape of the sky warming the blue mountains, it is like a warm goodbye before the release of the cold blue of the night.

When there isn’t direct light on the painting, you can really see the energy of the sun and the dynamic sky.
